He enables me to go on the heights!
Have you ever found yourself caught in a circumstance where you felt totally defeated? My prayer partner and I were praying yesterday and she was in that place. As I was praying for her battle over the phone I kept getting the words, “the Sovereign Lord is my strength, enables me to go on the heights and I am NOT afraid.” So beautiful and true! Even when we are in the fiercest battle, He is already fighting on our behalf. He is the victor!
Sometimes God offers up quick answers to our prayers! When we checked in this morning, she had already had some victory with the battle going on in her neighborhood. I was so grateful that we spent the time on our faces and asked our Father to equip us with that strength for the battle. He helped us slay the giant.
Are you facing any opposition or adversity in your life right now that is challenging your strength? Are you fearful of what the outcome might be? If so, I encourage you to get into a posture of prayer and ask for supernatural strength. The spiritual battle is real and we don’t want to be sidestepped or caught unaware of it.
Today Jesus and I are on a date at a splurge spot hidden away in a little strip mall. I absolutely love it that they have an Express lunch deal. He is clearly talking to me about this poignant scripture in Habbakuk. There may be no figs on the fig tree or sheep in the pen, but there is still blessing all around. I would like us to spend some time in prayer over our relationships, circumstances and being equipped to go on the heights.
Dear Jesus~The battle is real. I feel like my circumstances have the potential to swallow me whole. I come before you boldly asking for your help. I need your supernatural strength. I desire to slay this giant just like David did, but it feels too big for me. I life up my relationship wit my love and ask that you would help us to be on a united front as we battle this war waging all around us. I ask for your perspective, your eyes and ears to hear clearly what is really going on. I know you enable us to go on the heights and WE are not afraid. We stand firm in the faith in Jesus name. Amen!
Habbakuk 3:19 says, “The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.”
