The Former things have gone!
Greetings sisters! Today the word is from Isaiah and it is a powerful one. I am in anticipation of unpacking it with you. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past, See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. ” This my dear sisters is a true gift! He is moving in power in our lives and it would be who of us to perceive it.
Do you see and feel His forward movement in the current season you are in? He is shifting the atmosphere and spiritual climate of our lives and it is all for His glory and our good. Do you see Him making a way where there was no way? Are the fresh winds of desire blowing? Are the swelling rains washing over you? He’s got all of this ladies. He is in control! May we rest in that truth today.
Today Jesus and I are dining at my favorite little French Cafe downtown. They have bargain plates that include a glass of wine and it is perfection! Cheese plate and wine and the former things being gone. I’ll take it! I praise Him for this truth. He has come to our rescue in this season and He has caused the waters to flow through a time of dryness. Amen?
My prayer partner and I were up praying early this morning and this word came into my mind clear as clear as day! I would like for us to spend some time in prayer over this now. Let’s meditate on this word for just a few minutes. There is no where to go. No one to please. Let your heart be calm and your chest open wide with fresh breaths of oxygen. Let’s still our frenetic minds and schedules for just a couple of minutes. May we also pray for our loves that they recognize this in their lives as well. It is vital for us to thrive and prosper in this season. May our eyes be wide open and our ears tuned in to hear.
Dear Jesus~We need your love desperately. We are desperate for your presence. I delight in connecting with you. I want to meditate on this word and let it sink into the very depths of my being. I choose to let go of my past. Your were there when those things happened and you grieved for me. You forgive the worst of sinners. You forgave me in my sin. I thank you that you are slow to anger and abounding in love. I thank you that you are gushing waters out of the wastelands of my life. Where I have been dry you have given me a new thirst for you. I love you Jesus and I love my fiance. I know you will show him the reality of this truth in his life as well. May he come to your fountain and be cleansed in your healing waters. May he embrace the new change that is springing up! We give you this day. I leave my worries at your throne of grace. Interrupt my agenda today. I offer up my desire for divine appointments and Kingdom connections in Jesus name. Thank you in advance and thank you once again that the former things have gone! I adore you. Amen!
